Position Details

Our client is an European pharmaceuticals company with a local Accounting & Finance hub in Sofia. They are currently looking to hire a Cash Liquidity Team Lead to manage liquidity and expenses, as well as drive forecasting along with process optimization and automation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate periodic submissions and review Cash-flow forecasts from all affiliate companies.
  • Works on process automation to ensure the most up-to-date data is incorporated into the liquidity forecast.
  • Give guidance regarding monthly estimated payments, including possible deviations from Cash flow Forecast/Budget.
  • Develop financial policies and procedures for process improvement and operational efficiency in the areas of Procure-To-Pay, Order-To-Cash, Record-To-Report and Master Data Management.
  • Define and implement key metrics, and also track and analyze periodic performance with follow-up on improvement actions.
  • Optimize and accelerate the Group’s liquidity forecasting process to provide visibility into its cash position for the following 10 weeks.
  • Coach and motivate a team of 5 direct  reports.
  • Coach team members on delivering high-quality Accounts Receivable and Expense Management services, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Take responsibility for group treasury payments interface (all banks); maintain the system and any  potential upgrades if required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar.
  • 6+ years of Finance or Accounting experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Cash management/Treasury operations with prior experience and responsibility for liquidity forecasting.
  • Ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks, be proactive and drive initiatives.
  • Tech-savvy, capable of translating transactional data into clear summaries for management.
  • Knowledge of legal acts in the field of accounting, tax and social security legislation, the main provisions of labor and civil legislation.
  • A performance-driven self-starter, confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with ability to express ideas effectively through data or presentation.
  • An excellent team player able to operate in a fast-paced and sometimes demanding environment.
  • Good communication skills working in an international environment.

The following skills and/or experience would be considered an advantage:

  • Background in a B2B, manu­facturing company.
  • 2+ years’ people management experience.
  • Experience with SAP, BW.
  • Advanced skills in Excel (Power Query, Power Pivots) and tools for visualization (Power BI)
