Position Details
Our client is a big retail group of companies, currently operating under different brands in South East Europe. Headquartered in Croatia, the company operates over 200 stores and e-commerce platforms in Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, and Bulgaria. In early 2023, they acquired a leading Bulgarian pet care retailer, aiming to validate its leading position in the region.
For the team in Sofia, the company is now looking to hire a Controlling and Reporting Specialist.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create regular monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports for the needs of the Group
- Report on actuals as well as forecasts against budgets (projects, overheads, investments)
- Liaise with managers of other departments of the company
- Monitor results, providing timely and accurate reporting to management
- Implement group policies and guidelines
- Create reports to monitor the financial performance of ongoing projects or entire departments in order to identify potential problems and take action to prevent further issues
- Analyze data to identify areas where improvements can be made to increase efficiency or reduce costs
- Participate in strategic planning to help the company achieve its goals
- Data analysis
Job Requirements:
- Degree in accounting, finance or another related field
- Up to 3 years’ experience in a relevant role
- Critical thinking / problem solver
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Good command of English language
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within agreed deadlines
- Positive and proactive attitude
