Position Details

Our client is a big retail group of companies, currently operating under different brands in South East Europe. Headquartered in Croatia, the company operates over 200 stores and e-commerce platforms in Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, and Bulgaria. In early 2023, they acquired a leading Bulgarian pet care retailer, aiming to validate its leading position in the region.

The company is now looking to hire a Controlling and Reporting Specialist to join the Accounting and Finance team in Sofia.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create regular monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports for the needs of the Group
  • Report on actuals as well as forecasts against budgets (projects, overheads, investments)
  • Liaise with managers of other departments of the company
  • Monitor results, providing timely and accurate reporting to management
  • Implement group policies and guidelines
  • Create reports to monitor the financial performance of ongoing projects or entire departments in order to identify potential problems and take action to prevent further issues
  • Analyze data to identify areas where improvements can be made to increase efficiency or reduce costs
  • Participate in strategic planning to help the company achieve its goals
  • Data analysis

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in accounting, finance or another related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in a relevant role
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Good command of English language
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within agreed deadlines
  • Positive and proactive
