Position Details
Our client is a multinational company looking to hire a Head of Compliance. Your role would be to assist the company, its subsidiaries, representative offices and branches in preventing, detecting and mitigating compliance, regulatory, reputational and other risks by articulating and maintaining the standards of conduct required of the company’s business, as well as the applicable laws and regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the applicable local and international legislation, including but not limited to anti-bribery and anti-corruption, antitrust, anti-money laundering, market abuse and other specific regulatory areas;
- Stay up-to-date with local and international regulatory environment and work closely with other legal and compliance leads to ensure the company’s adherence to pertinent laws and regulations;
- Develop the company’s internal compliance rules, policies, procedures and guidelines;
- Design, implement and maintain the compliance framework and controls for assessing and regulating risks, including but not limited to policies, procedures, risk assessment, etc.;
- Develop, define, implement and exercise oversight over the Compliance programs at local and international level;
- Conduct or participate in investigations regarding compliance with the applicable laws and the Compliance programs;
- Keep and update specific compliance registers (e.g., a register of business partners relationships) at local level;
- Organize regular compliance trainings for the senior management team and other employees, as well as other specialized trainings needed to address ad hoc regulatory and compliance issues;
- Create periodic compliance reports and assess the effectiveness of the Group’s compliance with the local and/or international regulations;
- Interact with the local regulators, auditors and/or other competent authorities during internal, external and regulatory audits, inquiries and/or examinations, etc.;
- Respond to ad hoc and routine regulatory and compliance queries, as well as prepare and provide guidance, advise and opinions on compliance matters.
Job Requirements
- Academic and professional background in Law;
- 5+ years experience in compliance, gained in a financial institution, regulatory authority and/or other reputable international organization;
- Experience with compliance risk assessment tools and systems is an advantage;
- In-depth knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in anti-corruption and anti-bribery, antitrust, anti-money laundering, market abuse area and other compliance areas and ability to apply them to the business.
