Position Details

Our client is a leading German manufacturer, currently setting up a Global Business Services centre in Sofia. They are on the lookout for a professional with significant IFRS 16 knowledge to join them in Sofia.

Job Responsibilities

  • Gather, organize, and validate lease-related data from various sources within the organization.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection.
  • Perform lease accounting calculations in accordance with IFRS 16 guidelines.
  • Book and document lease-related entries accurately in the financial systems.
  • Provide expert advice to colleagues on IFRS 16 compliance and lease accounting matters.
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance awareness and understanding of IFRS 16 within the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency in IFRS 16 compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements in data collection, calculations, and reporting.
  • Prepare and generate periodic reports related to IFRS 16 compliance for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of lease agreements and related financial transactions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in lease accounting and IFRS 16 compliance.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and proficiency in relevant software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
