Position Details
Our client is an active investment management firm focused on delivering attractive performance and client portfolio solutions. They believe that technology will play a key role in the future of finance, and have built a robust trading platform to handle scale, complexity and customisation.
They are currently looking to hire a Support Engineer who will work on supporting users to get the most out of an open-sourced client-side database. You will be working with users in production and development to troubleshoot issues, and will also get involved with SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) work using industry standard tools like Kubernetes, Terraform & Prometheus. The role will also include scope to improve the firm’s k8s deployments, observability and alerting.

Job Requirements
- Experience providing development support to users and production support for systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude to interact with many different areas of business
- Basic programming in Python or C++
- Knowledge of Git
Desirable
- Familiarity with continuous integration practices and experience with GitHub CI/CD actions for automating testing and deployment processes.
- SRE Experience
- Experience developing systems using any of the following tools: Kubernetes, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry
